Students at Inspera & Our Internship Experience

Inspera’s commitment to continuous education is not limited to our software solutions - it is at the heart of the company’s philosophy also when it comes to people. One of the initiatives that we support in order to promote learning both inside and outside of the classroom is our internship programme. The internship programme has provided selected university students with an opportunity to get invaluable experience working on challenging real-life projects, whilst immersing themselves into our team.

Over the years, we have been grateful to welcome many talented students from all around the world to our internship programme and Oslo office - and they learned from us as much as we learned from them. Some of them even became full-time members of our team after the programme, or once their studies were completed. Read on to hear some of their stories of how the internship experience at Inspera influenced their careers.

Testimonials from Inspera Summer Interns 2018

“I joined Inspera for a summer internship in 2018, looking to get some hands on experience with machine learning models and software development. I was hoping to find a healthy and challenging work environment, where my skills as a mathematician could be of use. I am happy to say that this company delivered on all accounts: Inspera is a welcoming workplace where clear objectives and an ambitious plan for growth are matched with expertise and talent coming from everywhere in the world. Wherever you come from, and whatever the path you chose in your life, as long as you have knowledge, determination and an open mind you will find a home between these walls.” Manfredi Federico Pivetta, R&D intern, Italy

“It was especially interesting for me to work at Inspera because as a student at NTNU i Gjøvik, I’ve actually used Inspera Assessment for submitting exams. So I knew how it worked from a student’s point of view, and this internship allowed me to understand how it worked from the grading/administration point of view. It was a very different (and in my opinion better) experience than what I had previously with grading. By the end of my internship, I was able to work on creating a better user experience within their system and learned how to work on such a large-scale, ever evolving project. Working at Inspera has been a great experience, where everyone is supportive of each other regardless of their experience or position.” Carly Grace Allen, UX intern, USA

“The vibe in the office was really supportive and positive, it provided me an opportunity to learn and absorbed beyond my capabilities. There were different training sessions on personal and professional development which I really enjoyed and learned from them. Inspera gave me freedom in making decisions throughout the internship regarding technology and resources that I needed to accomplish my task. This boosts the self-confidence and sharpened my decision-making skills. Every day there, I learned something new. It helped me to clear my career vision and goals regarding my pathway in programming and machine learning.” Ahmed Mustafa, R&D intern, Norway

“When I joined Inspera, I was looking for hands-on work experience on real projects, to travel to another country and work in a team. During the internship, I worked on reporting dashboard that would help customers and internal stakeholders visualise the usage data. I was able to learn new technologies, programming languages and best practises on data visualisation. Also, I was really happy to meet amazing people at Inspera that were willing to help me, so I thoroughly recommend Inspera as a company.” Carmen Mitru, R&D intern, Romania
