Oslo, Norway
Inspera, a leading provider of digital assessment solutions, is pleased to announce it is extending and growing its collaboration with Coventry University Group.
The collaboration began in 2020 with a successful pilot that has seen digital assessment undertaken across many departments including Language Testing and Accounting and Finance.
Coventry University Group has now chosen to adopt Inspera Assessment as part of their wider education strategy to continue the transformation of their approach to assessment – moving away from in-person exams in favour of more authentic approaches to assessment. This includes use of Inspera for an increasingly diverse range of assessments including portfolio assessments and live practical assessments.
Under the initial three year agreement, Inspera Assessment will be rolled out further across the Coventry University Group UK campuses (Coventry, Scarborough and London) plus Coventry University Wroclaw in Poland.
A key pillar of the collaboration is the integration of Inspera into Coventry University Group’s existing digital architecture, providing both students and educators with seamless access to Inspera through their social learning environment, Aula.
Coventry University Group will also continue to use Inspera’s lockdown and remote proctoring capabilities where required.
Working together to further develop Coventry University Group’s assessment strategy forms part of Inspera’s mission to drive the digital transformation of education.
“I’m delighted that Coventry University Group has chosen Inspera to further its digital assessment transformation,” commented Andrew Cons, CEO of Inspera, “We fully support this shift towards new and authentic assessments and look forward to pushing our ecosystem into new and groundbreaking territory.”
Andrew Turner, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Curriculum Development) for Coventry University Group added: “We are delighted to be working with Inspera in further developing our digital assessment capability across the university group. We see this as a key step in delivering a truly innovative and student-focused curriculum aligned to our Group 2030 strategy.”
Implementation will start immediately, with the first few students taking the new assessments through Inspera by the end of the year.

We were awarded a Gold rating in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework, proving we deliver excellence in what students care most about – teaching, learning and achieving positive outcomes from their studies. In 2022, we were honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade, the UK’s most prestigious business award. In recent years, we have won many awards and vastly improved our rankings in the league tables that matter to students – but what matters to us is delivering transformational change for our students, partners and communities around the world as we continue to evolve into a global education group.
